On September 25th NAIFA-Mississippi will host Dane Albright, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF (Director of Advanced Markets at Cincinnati Life) for a luncheon meeting where he will discuss the Supreme Court's Connelly Decision. The Connelly decision has a definitive effect on the taxation of certain buy-sell agreements that are funded by life insurance. In a nutshell the Supreme Court ruled that life insurance proceeds in a stock redemption type of buy-sell agreement can be included in the estate of the deceased for estate tax purposes. Dane will discuss the decision and what can be done to help mitigate the taxation on existing stock redemption buy-sell agreements and how to avoid this when setting up new ones. He will also discuss what not to do in amending buy-sell agreements that were already in place when the Supreme Court made their ruling. This session could help your clients avoid a very costly experience at claim time.

While the meeting will be held at the River Hills Club in Jackson we are inviting any member of NAIFA-Mississippi to attend. About Our Speaker:
Dane Albright has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on marketing from The University of Akron. He has continued studies through The American College and attained both the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.

Dane has been in the Life and Financial Services industry since 1987 and has held numerous positions in the business including: Registered Representative, Life Underwriter, Life Marketing Specialist, Sales Technical Specialist, Territory Sales Manager, Financial Products Wholesaler, Regional Director, Senior Life Regional Director, Life Field Director and is currently Director of Advanced Markets.

Dane’s experience includes marketing insurance and financial products through Independent Agents, Property and Casualty Agencies, Brokerage Firms, Independent Marketing Organizations, and Financial Institutions. He is responsible for assisting independent agents with appropriate case structure, design, and advice to properly make life insurance recommendations to their clients.

He is a member of NAIFA Cleveland, as well as the Cleveland Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. Dane lives in North Royalton, OH with his wife Theresa.
